Our final game of the season saw the team put in a strong and determined performance against Langley Rovers FC, earning a well-deserved 2-2 draw.
From the first whistle, the players worked well together and showed the benefits of the coach’s recent training sessions, putting the planned tactics into action across the pitch. It was a competitive first half, with both sides creating chances and going into the break level at 1-1.
In the second half, the team were unfortunate to concede a penalty, which Langley Rovers converted to take a 2-1 lead. Despite the setback, our players kept their heads up and continued to battle hard, showing great character and team spirit.
Their efforts were rewarded when captain Owen Wall stepped up with an important goal to bring the score back to 2-2. The equaliser was a fitting reflection of the team’s commitment and determination throughout the match.
The coach was pleased to finish the season with a point, especially after such a hardworking performance. Attention now turns to preparing for upcoming friendlies, as the squad looks ahead to the exciting challenge of playing in Non-League football next season.
